We need your Ideas to improve this component in a from you desired direction. The Ideas from the old thread are moved to this new Subforum. First of all, thanks for the module it works really great!
However, it would be great to have a youtube plugin for the recipes. So together with the picture you should be able to add some youtube embed code to a recipe, and that the youtube video of how someone is making this recipe for example is shown above the recipe.

But to keep things apart. In short. The cookbook is a component to Joomla! Modules are normaly shown to the left or right of the main area and somewhow extending the component. A Plug-In is used in a component to extend the functionality.
To add a link to YouTube there has to be another field in the databasetable of the component to link a recipe to a YouTube Identity. There are other sources then YouTube so it should also be possible to use those.
To test the Idea it would be useful to try it with a Module.
Plug-In is something else.
