Fresh install on Joomla 1.5.22
FTP is enabled
GCB admin config file is writable.
When I try to do anything in the cpanel, nothing changes and I get the JFTP::write: Bad response error.

I'd really like to use the cookbook on our site.
Help?

Hi jackreece,

I have no personal experience with Joomla Ftp. As I read it's only recommended if normal installations and uploads are not possible.For uploads/downloads I use a normal local client for ftp like FileZilla on a Windos system.

This shouldn't be a Cookbook problem. The only function involved with uploads is the image upload.

I also do not know what you mean with FTP enabled. Obviously you also installed an external component for Ftp that outputs your error. JFTP

So start with disabling component and/or Joomla internal Ftp.
